Biomimetic catalysis - with and without metals

Part of our work is aimed at the development of novel catalysts for
the selective transformation of organic substrates. One source of
inspiration are the enzymes, the three-dimensional structures of
their active sites and their mechanisms of action. This lecture will
focus on recent results in the modelling of peroxidases and
metal-free hydrogenases.
