Chemistry Lab (aka the Urey Room)


This is one of our chemistry labs. In addition to preparing samples for scanning probe microscope or optics experiments here, we also make carbon nanotubes by chemical vapor deposition and deposit ultrathin pentacene films. The equipment in this lab includes a dry box for chemicals, a centrifuge, a high power sonicator, and a UV-vis spectrometer.
