Post-Doctoral and Graduate Positions Available

The Kaufman Group is currently looking for postdoctoral associates for several different projects. Applicants should have a background in one or more of the following areas: biophysics, single molecule spectroscopy, nonlinear spectroscopy, nonlinear microscopy, colloidal science, nanofabrication, rheology. While we are chiefly an experimental group, theorists who would like to work closely with experimentalists are welcome to apply.

Preference will be given to applicants with external fellowships or a willingness to apply for such fellowships in the near future. If you are interested in teaching, please consider applying to the Science Fellows Program. If you are interested in science and public policy, please consider the Earth Institute Fellows Program. If you would like to apply to either of these programs and would also like to work in my laboratory, please contact me before applying.

All postdoctoral applicants should send a curriculum vitae and publication list to the address below or to
kaufman@chem.columbia.edu. Please tell me a bit about your background, current interests, a potential start date for your postdoctoral work, and any sources of funding you plan to apply for. Please arrange for at least two letters of recommendation to be sent to the address below.
