Dr. Wei Min graduated from Peking University (Beijing, China) with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry in 2003.  He received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Harvard University in 2008, working on single-molecule enzyme biophysics under the supervision of Professor Xiaoliang Sunney Xie in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology. After that, he continued his postdoctoral work in Professor Xie's group, with his focus shifting to the technical development and biological application of novel multi-photon optical microscopy for bio-imaging.

Starting July of 2010, Dr. Min has become a Principal Investigator and Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Columbia University.  In 2011, he joined Kavli Institute for Brain Science of Columbia University. Recently, Dr. Min was named as a Faculty Finalists in the New York Academy of Sciences’ 2012 Blavatnik Awards for Young Scientists.
