INVESTMENT IN NANOSCIENCE

A significant investment in our science initiative has been made possible through the efforts of Dean of Science Amber Miller and outstanding collaboration between Arts and Sciences and Engineering.  Between the two schools, $12M has been allocated to be used as a first investment toward providing state-of-the art shared facilities urgently needed by hundreds of researchers across both schools.

A task force consisting of faculty members from both Arts and Sciences and The School of Engineering and Applied Science is currently helping the schools identify and prioritize the initial phase of joint activities, which will include investments in a state-of-the-art nanofabrication laboratory, a materials characterization laboratory, a transmission electron microscopy laboratory, and a nanoscience center.
