The Aperture Foundation for Photography and the Visual Arts

The Aperture Foundation for Photography and the Visual Arts is a major force among those committed to an ideal of photography as one of the most powerful forms of human expression. Through its book publishing, exhibition and education programs, the quarterly periodical, and the archives, Aperture Foundation, now in its forty-seventh year, meets the ongoing critical need for the presentation of distinguished historical and contemporary photography. Aperture’s non-profit status allows for the independence and integrity that is fundamental to the Foundation’s endeavors.
