"The impact that my students have had is to realize that their future is an opened book. They love the program because they can actually experience a lifestyle that is very attractive to them and they know that they too can have the same lifestyle in their future, if they do well in their education."

(BC) Mentoring

BC Mentoring pairs volunteers with 7th and 8th grade middle school students who want to improve their English reading, writing and conversational skills. Additionally, we have included a “life skills development” component to each session held. We provide tutoring and mentoring through interactive activities, as well as, field trips in the city. Previously covered topics include careers, peer pressure, prejudice, life transitions, goals and responsibility, and going green. We have also visited the Museum of Natural History, Hayden Planetarium, and Sony Wonder Museum. Foreign Language proficiency is not necessary!

When: Every Friday 3:00-5:00 PM (Except National, Public School, and University Holidays)

Where: The Red Room (Basement of St. Paul's Chapel)
