  • Project HEALTH works to ensure that all children grow up free from the obstacles imposed by poor health. The project consists of five youth programs targeting specific diseases (asthma, diabetes, obesity, sickle cell, HIV) as well as a sixth program that provides advocacy services for families at Harlem Hospital. Each youth program combines health education about the disease, fun activities to boost confidence of disease management, and one-on-one tutoring and mentorship. Programs are supervised by medical/social work staff at Harlem Hospital and Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital. (Various days, 3 hours a week in various locations.)
