Special Email Features of Pine/CUNIX

• Bcc: Blank Carbon Copy allows you to send e-mail to a list of undisclosed recipients. When sending e-mail, press “control-R” when you are in the e-mail header; the Bcc field will appear one line beneath the Cc field in the header. At this point, enter your list of addresses in the Bcc field. Result: Recipients do not receive any information concerning other recipients; some level of privacy is protected.
  
  
• Distribution Lists: When in the address book, press “@” to add a new entry. You may nickname the new entry as your group’s name but you may not use spaces in between characters (e.g. PeaceGames, NOT Peace Games.) Then in the address field, you may enter in as many addresses as you like. Result: Ability to send out mass e-mails.
  
  
• Should you ever wish to send an email to the CI coordinator list, you may forward it to Allie (student exec) so that she can distribute it to all coordinators.
