Outside Group Cosponsorship Fund

Please be aware of the following as you prepare your co-sponsorship request:

1.) The purpose of CI’s Cosponsorship Fund is to promote service programs undertaken by groups not recognized by CI. Co-sponsorship Requests to CI will be judged on the merits of the program, including the event’s benefit to the communities both inside and outside the CU gates and fit to the CI mission.

2.) To apply to the Cosponsor Fund, fill out the attached forms, and submit them to citreasurers@columbia.edu or Lynn Copes or Nilo Couret’s mailbox in the CI office, 105 Earl Hall.

3.) The four Student Councils (CCSC, ESC, GSSC, SGA at Barnard) all maintain co-sponsorship funds and are resources for programming needs that meet the requirements of the respective student councils. Student Council co-sponsorship policies can be found here:

We strongly urge groups requesting co-sponsorships from multiple Student Councils should request amounts proportional to the impact of the event on each respective student body—with the understanding that each of the four Student Councils represents a different proportion of the student body and their financial capabilities are also different.
