The Columbia CIBER taps global industry leaders from the local business community to enrich student programming, while giving back to the business community through programs for practitioners.

China: International Business University Seminar

The Columbia CIBER sponsors the China: International Business seminar in partnership with the Chazen Institute and Weatherhead East Asian Institute. The seminar facilitates the sharing of information among business executives, government officials and scholars on such topics as strategies for doing business in China and lessons of success and failure in emerging business relationships. Council of State Governments

In collaboration with the Council of State Governments, the Columbia CIBER connects regional legislative, judicial and executive policymakers to specialists in international business with the goal of informing the public on current trends affecting regional interests.

Executive Education

Columbia Business School's Executive Education programs deliver a rich, global perspective on the latest theories and trends driving business around the world.

International Finance and Policy Workshop

The Columbia CIBER connects directly to major corporations in New York City through SIPA's International Finance and Policy (IFP) Workshop, which focuses on the political, economic, regulatory and cultural dimensions of business and finance. Through long-term group business projects with students, this program fosters the development of substantive relationships between these corporations and the Columbia CIBER.

International Speaker Series

The CIBER International Speaker Series, hosted in collaboration with SIPA’s regional institutes, brings leading international business practitioners to Columbia for lectures open to the University community. The series features talks by renowned business professionals with expertise in such subjects as the European economy, trans-Atlantic business and international banking. Once scheduled, speaker events are listed on the events calendar.

Revenue Management Conference

The annual Revenue Management Conference focuses on revenue optimization for international business, a topic that recently has gained attention as one of the most economically significant and rapidly growing applications of operations research. Each year, business practitioners and scholars from around the globe attend the conference to hear from more than 40 world-renowned experts in this field.

The Sir Gordon Wu Distinguished Speaker Forum

The Sir Gordon Wu Distinguished Speaker Forum at Columbia Business School promotes the academic study and professional understanding of China's economy and business practices. By bringing recognized business leaders and policy makers to New York to share their perspectives on this vital region, the Sir Gordon Wu Forum informs and engages Columbia Business School faculty, students and alumni through an active dialogue about China and its prospects inthe 21st century.
