Educational Outreach
Overview
The Columbia CIBER is committed to promoting links between its educational and research programs on campus and the broader academic community.
International MBA Career Services Conference
Since 1993, career placement officers from MBA programs throughout
the United States have come to Columbia each year to discuss
best practices, the nature of the global marketplace and international
placement opportunities for MBA students. Conference participants
from universities with CIBER programs convene for a special
working breakfast to explore career placement strategies that
leverage the CIBER network. The Career Services Conference
is held in March, and the 2008 dates will be posted here when
announced.
China: International Business University Seminar
Seminars sponsored by various academic departments at the
University offer an ongoing dialogue on topics relating to
international business. The Columbia CIBER partners with many
of the University's departments and institutes to support
seminars on relevant topics and to increase the number of
business-oriented topics addressed in the seminars. To inquire
about upcoming seminars, please send an email to cibs@columbia.edu.
Leadership Enterprise for a
Diverse America
The Columbia CIBER supports Leadership Enterprise for a Diverse
America (LEDA), a nonprofit that seeks to increase the admission
of under-represented youth to leading colleges and universities,
by hosting specially designed courses for New York City public
high school students at Columbia Business School. Faculty
members from public high schools also participate in the program
with the goal of improving the quality of business education
in the students’ home schools.
