India: An Emerging Giant

On October 13-14, 2006, Columbia University hosted leading experts on India's economy and political situation at India: An Emerging Giant. Led by University Professors Jagdish Bhagwati and Arvind Panagariya, this conference brought speakers including Kamal Nath, Indian Minister of Commerce, Ronen Sen, Ambassador of India to the U.S., Frank Wisner, former Ambassador of the U.S. to India, and many others. A book based on content from the conference, Sustaining India's Growth Miracle will be published at the end of 2007.
