Call
for CIBER Research Proposals
Each year, the Columbia CIBER awards grants to faculty members
and doctoral students from Columbia Business School, the School
of International and Public Affairs and the Economics and
Political Science departments for summer research projects
on international business topics. Proposals for this year
are due to ciber@columbia.edu or in Uris Hall 212 by March
21st.
Emphasis will be given to:
· The need to collect data outside the U.S.
· Empirical research projects
· Projects with a business security focus
· A project where CIBER dollars will help to accomplish
a project that couldn’t have been otherwise.
Proposals
should include:
A maximum of three pages describing the purpose of your project,
including title of the project.
A one page detailed budget and timeline for spending the funds
CV of author(s)
Contact information for all authors, including phone number,
mailing address and email address.
A confirmation email will be sent upon receipt of your proposal.
If you do not receive confirmation, please follow up to ensure
the proposal has been received.
Funds may be used for data acquisition, computer software
expenses, travel associated with research, and other legitimate
purposes. Expenses must be submitted to the CIBER for reimbursement
by August 31, 2008; funds not spent by that date will be lost.
Resulting research papers included in the CIBER Working Paper
Series may also be submitted to an academic journal for publication.
