Columbia University is a national leader in cutting-edge research by faculty members with diverse scholarly interests. CIBER facilitates the dissemination of international business research from SIPA and Columbia Business School to the university and the broader academic and business communities.

Chazen Web Journal

The Chazen Web Journal of International Business is a forum for in-depth and timely analysis of international business issues. It features articles by Columbia Business School faculty members, video interviews with top executives and research reports based on international study tours.

Internationalizing Doctoral Education in Business (IDEB)

Acting as a national resource for the advancement of international education, the Columbia CIBER is a partner in the Internationalization of Doctoral Education in Business (IDEB), a joint CIBER national initiative. This CIBER alliance will offer an annual workshop for doctoral students designed to raise their level of interest and knowledge in the international dimension of business education and research. The Columbia CIBER hosted the 2007 IDEB Conference on July 18-20, 2007.

Columbia Ideas at Work

In June 2005, Columbia Business School launched Columbia Ideas at Work, an online knowledge portal that serves as a bridge between business research and practice. Through an online magazine, research briefs highlighting practical applications and a searchable archive of faculty publications, Columbia Ideas at Work makes research findings accessible to business practitioners.

Research Grants

The Columbia CIBER provides grants to faculty members and doctoral students to conduct summer research on topics relating to international business and American competitiveness overseas. Upon completion of the research, all deliverables become a part of the CIBER Working Paper Series to be posted on the Columbia CIBER website.

Faculty members and doctoral students at Columbia Business School, SIPA and Columbia University's Economics Department and Political Science department are eligible to apply.
