Areas of Specialization:
Ancient philosophy, in all its periods.
Professor Mann joined Columbia's Philosophy Department in the fall
of 1992. In 1991-92 he was a Visiting Scholar in the Faculty of
Classics, University of Cambridge. Previously he held visiting
appointments at the University of Pennsylvania, Middlebury College, and
the University of Massachusetts (Amherst); he has also been a Mellon
Post-Doctoral Scholar at Johns Hopkins.
