Katja Vogt specializes in ancient philosophy in all its periods, but
her research interests include Ethics and Kant. Most of her work in
ancient philosophy is on Stoicism and Scepticism; she is the author of
Skepsis und Lebenspraxis. Das skeptische Leben ohne Meinungen, München,
Freiburg 1998, a book on Pyrrhonian Scepticism. Her main present
project is on early Stoic political philosophy, but she is also working
on Plato. Before joining Columbia University in the fall of 2002, Vogt held
a post at the Humboldt-University in Berlin.
