A passionate student’s love letter and farewell to his teacher, The Argument reminds us of the personal pathos that binds us to the Greeks, and fires us to capture that chimera, art. Based on both the Poetics and the essays of Gerald F. Else, this one-man play, written and performed by David Greenspan, explores the non-artist’s take on categorizing, dissecting, and defining art for the rest of us. Sponsored by the Barnard College Department of Theatre/Columbia University Major in Drama and Theatre Arts with the Barnard Department of English.
