"Echoes from Mount Kithairon"

Professor Taplin will be discussing the particular mythical, historical and topographical associations of the mountain range that runs between Athens and Thebes and how this set of associations relates to Euripides' Bacchae and Sophocles' Oedipus. A reception will follow.

Euripides' Medea


Performed in Ancient Greek with English supertitles.


Performances will take place on March 27th at 8:00pm and March 28th at 2:00pm and 8:00pm in Minor Latham Playhouse, which is located at Barnard College in Milbank Hall.
