Kokikai Aikido is a modern Japanese martial art, founded by Shuji Maruyama Sensei, concerned with effective self-defense techniques and the realization of our full potential power both on and off the mat. Even as we develop powerful Kokikai techniques, we strive to compassionately increase the strength of both body and mind, discover Kokikai ki power through mind-body coordination, and stimulate good health. In this way we create a secure foundation for a strong and successful life. Both as beginner and advanced students we work together to discover our whole human ability, our full potential power, through self mastery.
