Description:

The Shotokan Karate Club is affiliated with Shotokan Karate of America (SKA), the oldest Karate organization in the U.S., with associated Dojos world-wide. The purpose of the club is to allow its members to practice karate as a martial art at the highest level. Thus, through karate the club provides participants with numerous and unique benefits, such as physical and mental conditioning, self defense, confidence, focus, and mind-body coordination. Furthermore, by learning this ancient art, members are able to directly experience fundamental aspects of eastern culture. In addition, club officers gain valuable management and leadership skills through the efficient and creative management of the club.

Other Info:

Club members travel to several regional practices during the year. These "Special Trainings" are unique to SKA and allow participants to explore and expand their physical and mental boundaries.
