Description:

The Columbia University Swing Dance Club has over 100 members and is devoted to teaching the Columbia University community the art and style of Swing. With professional dance instructors Nathan Bugh and Evita Arce, the Swing Dance Club offers weekly sessions for beginner, intermediate, and advanced dancers. Also, our talented Swing Dance Troop performs at popular campus events, such as Glass House Rocks. The Swing Dance Club hosts semesterly semi-formals, complete with a live-band for entertainment. In addition to lessons, beginners and experts alike can join veteran Columbia University Swing Dancers in weekly outings at New York City-wide events, including collaborations with NYU to dance at the Brooklyn Bridge and weekly swing jams at Frim Fram or the world-famous Cotton Club. Come for a single session just to try it out! Contact Francesco Michelassi (fem2104@columbia.edu) for more information.
