Description:
Columbia Tae Kwon Do was the first martial arts club at Columbia University, founded in the early 1980s by Grandmaster B.M. Lee, the father of the current head instructor, Master Michael Lee. Initially the club consisted of 8 black belts, and over the years has grown to be one of the largest clubs at Columbia with over 100 active members. The team is part of the Ivy-Northeast Collegiate Tae Kwon Do League (INCTL), a league consisting of approximately 20 schools and which holds 6 tournaments annually. It is traditional that Columbia host the final tournament of the academic year.
We are a team brought together by our passion for the art and sport of Tae Kwon Do. No matter who you are, no matter where you're from, if you have an interest in Tae Kwon Do, you belong with us. We are Columbia University Tae Kwon Do.
