Description:

The Columbia University Triathlon Club was established in fall of 2005 with the intention of exposing Columbia’s community to triathlons. The club provides an opportunity for students to explore a sport & lifestyle that will challenge & excite them, while providing representation for Columbia University in triathlons across the nation. In 4 years, we have grown to over 30 members, & created a diverse community of students, faculty, & alumni from an array of athletic backgrounds. Our community provides social & support networks to excel at the sport of triathlon, while achieving academic excellence at Columbia University.

Our community of triathletes have won the Ivy League Championships for 3 consecutive years, and represented Columbia University on several levels of competition. But we have only begun our journey as the Columbia University Triathlon Club, & we invite you to join us in pursuit of a sport Dr. P. Z. Pearce describes as: “If God invented marathons to keep people from doing anything more stupid, the triathlon must have taken Him completely by surprise.”

Accomplishments:

Our crowning achievement is winning the Ivy League Championships for the past 3 years.
