The demo will consist of 5 minute presentations and 5 minute for questions and answers.

This was the first in a three-part series to promote entrepreneurship here at columbia University.
Over 41 entrepreneurs pitched their idea for a start-up venture to an audience of over 240 like-minded individuals.
Each company received constructive criticism and an invite to the Business/Tech Demo Event schedule for March, 11 2009.
Speaker Series
Doug Peabody

Mr. Peabody was one of the founding investors and Vice Chairman America Online. Following this, he served on the Board of Directors at OneSoft Corporation.
Mr. Peabody co-founded Saveur and Garden Design magazines in 1993 and served as President until the companies were sold in 2000.
In 2000, Mr. Peabody was named President and CEO of Weider Publications, Inc. There he was responsible for the publishing of Shape, Shape Fit Pregnancy, Men's Fitness, Muscle and Fitness, and Flex magazines, as well as their websites.
He has also served as the President and Managing Principal of Inco Venture Capital Management.
Mr. Peabody gratuated Dartmouth College with an A.B, cum laude, in 1974. He then received a J.D. from UVA in 1977. He also received an M.B.A from The Wharton School of Business, UPenn in 1982.
Alex Adelson

He has over 40 years of experience as a professional manager, businessman, and applied scientist.
Mr. Adelson began his career at Razdow Laboratories, a NASA “think tank”, before forming Wild Rover Corporation, which was devoted to monolithic switch technology that is widely used in current commercial products.
In 1974, he founded RTS Research Lab, which specialized in technology business incubation services and is now The Windessa Group.
Mr. Adelson was also the Chief Technical Consultant and Program Manager at Symbol Technologies and was responsible for developing the first portable laser-based bar code scanner.
In 1997, he was a recipient of a special U.S. Congressional Recognition Award as a "Successful Entrepreneur".
