Anyway, Kabir redeemed himself somewhat with an excellent knock of 80, and
with subsatntial help from Ramesh and Faisal, we scored 239 from 40 overs.
Dhruv started with a beautiful inswinger through the gate to remove the
opener first ball, but after that the bowling was ragged at best, and
while the fielding was better than last week, it has a long way to
go. They got a quick start with 70/1 off 10. Mark removed their best 2
batsmen, and #s 5-6 looked absolutely crap, so we may have relaxed a
little too much. As always with NYXI, their tail kept chipping away, and
#s 9+10 got them up to about 210/8. Having taken off the keeping pads I
then bowled one of them, but they only needed about 30 off 7 overs. With
Mark tying them down, theye were trying to score off me, and taking a
single, #11 was run out by about 3 yards with them still needing 25
runs. That's the first time you could count a win, but the batsman was
given not out. Shouting. With Mark bowling the penultimate over, they
needed 6. anudge and a couple of edges saw them tie the score. A classic
Mark yorker then splayed the stumps with the scores tied. Having only lost
9 wickets, and feeling somewhat agrieved, one could chose to claim victory
on wickets lost if one so desired...
