 K.D ----114 runs - (90balls, 11x 4's, 5x 6's)
Notable performances:  Prabhu 44 & 2 wickets, Sunil 4 wickets & Madhura 3 wickets

The day began with a lush green outfield - most likely due the overnight rain. The sky was overcast. Madhura won the toss and decided that is was best we bat. The slow bowlers from Royals began well keeping a tight leash on Prabhu and Arvind who came out to bat. After a few overs Prabhu started to find his feet, and find gaps with ease, meanwhile Arvind started to join the act and put on a healthy start. Arvind went out early getting caught on the crease with the score on 42. Michael came in to provide support to Prabhu, but was caught playing too early on a ball that stopped a bit. Prabhu decided that is was best to let loose and started crisply finding gaps and hitting a few over the infield. He departed with a well made 44 of just 30 balls. KD was joined by veteran Faisal who looked in good nick despite being away from the team for a season. The slow and this time deaf umpire gave Faisal lbw- despite hitting the ball, bizarre. KD and Sayan started to find the gaps and put on a decent partnership and bought CUCC to the 100 mark. At the halfway mark it was decided by KD to pick up the pace- and boy did he pick up the pace. KD skillfully started piercing the field, with a flurry of boundaries and a effortless six on his way to a quick 50. Sayan departed and Sriram came in and joined in the fun they both started to wreck the bowling attack with Sriram making a quick fire 24 off 23 balls. They put on a valuable 76 with KD .blitzing the attack with a barrage of 4's and 6's. There wasn't any nervous 90's he moved from 90 to 100 with 4,4,2 - in the end KD managed a 114- a beautiful knock. Ratesh and Sunil quick fire runs near the end to take the team to 256.

Sunil and Madhura our opening attack bowled well despite their opener Lall breezing a few boundaries, until Faisal took a blinder at deep point off Sunil's bowling. Madhura was bowling a tight line on the other end when something dramatic happened, Roha- hit a shot at deep cover straight to Sriram who made a simple catch look very complicated. Madhura bowled another teaser straight to Ajay, who took a skier. Then the opposition started to fall like a deck of cards -  Sunil started to get his line and managed to get on a hatrick, yorking the first batsmen, lbw to the next and just missing the chance for a hatrick. The opening bowlers took the first 7 wickets. Ajay  joined and kept a tight line and length and Prabhu mopped up the tail. They were all bundled out for 97 and CUCC continued their tight bowling and batting heading towards their 11th consecutive win and 4th straight league win.

On another noted KD picked up the first 100 for the club, he will get a free bat! and Sriram bought his first 10lb bat of the season!!
