1 | 2 | 3 Results: men | women Griak can be viewed from two perspectives: individual and team. The women. They came into this meet ranked 25th. They beat three schools ranked ahead of them (Minnesota, Duke, and Weber State) but were also beaten by three teams behind them (Virginia, UCLA, and James Madison). How they will be ranked will also depend on how other ranked teams did this weekend. Individually, Caitlin Hickin has asserted herself to be one of the best runners in the nation. Freshman Trish Nolan had a dazzling debut, showing she will be a vital part of the team this year. The men came into Griak without any votes in the national rankings. They did not beat any ranked schools. Thus, we'll probably have to wait for next week to get some votes. Individually, Steve Sundell continued to lead the team with a fast time of 25:13. The freshmen made great strides with Karl Dusen, Gerry Groothuis, and Will Boylan-Pett all running very fast at 25:41, 25:51, and 26:00. Both the men and women continue to move forward next week as they take on the city's best at the Metropolitan Championships. Here is a comparison of the ranked teams.
