Research Funding Initiative
The Center has established a funding program open to CUSSW faculty, doctoral
students and JBFCS professional staff. Funding is available to support
a limited number of small-scale research studies that will lead to subsequent
applications for external funding. Priority is given to studies involving
a collaboration between CUSSW faculty, doctoral students and JBFCS staff.
Proposed budgets should not exceed $5,000. Priority areas are:
Studies examining using research in practice
Studies of practice in a managed care context
Studies of social work practice outcomes
Studies of family violence and practice
The intent of this initiative is to stimulate research identified as important
by faculty, doctoral students and agency professional staff. Therefore,
applications in other research areas may be considered. Applications are
reviewed by the Center’s Professional Advisory Committee which includes
CUSSW faculty and JBFCS staff. Applicants first submit a brief concept
paper. Investigators submitting competitive concept papers are invited
to submit a proposal.
