Professional Advisory Committee

Steven Schinke, PH.D., Chair, is Professor at CUSSW and a director of several major funded prevention studies on interventions in the areas of AIDS, drug abuse, teenage pregnancy and adolescent smoking. He has published over 125 articles on these and other subjects, and is the author of the forthcoming book, Substance Abuse in Children and Adolescents.

Linda Freeman, M.D., Kenworthy Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at CUSSW, specializes in child and adolescent psychiatry. She was physician specialist for the Institute for Juvenile Research in Illinois, and has published on adolescent suicide, violence and risk-taking behaviors.

Bruce Grellong, Ph.D.,, Chief Psychologist for JBFCS, combines clinical work with research. He directed the study of families and cults and has written on child development and residential care. He has been on the research and teaching faculty at both Albert Einstein and Cornell University Medical colleges.

Alan Siskind, Ph.D., is Associate Executive vice President ar JBFCS. He was formerly director of Residential and Day Treatment for the Agency, and has published several articles in professional journals on problems of adolescents.
