Director, Shirley Jenkins, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus, Columbia University and Research Scholar, School of Social Work. She has directed major research projects in child welfare. community needs, and ethnicity; and published 10 books and over 50 chapters and articles, most recently The Ethnic Dilemma in Social Services, and Ethnic associations and the Welfare State. She has done research at the United Nations, Institute of International Education, Community Council of Greater New York, Graduate Center of City University, and the Baerwald School of Social Work, Hebrew University, Herusalem.
