Unite for Sight

Unite For Sight is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that works nationally and internationally to develop sustainable solutions to reduce health disparities. Unite for Sight, a member of the National Healthy Vision 2010 Consortium, is dedicated to improving health outcomes through free community vision screenings and health education for medically underserved children and adults in soup kitchens, schools and libraries. Unite for Sight also collects used eyeglasses to donate to eye clinics in developing countries. There are currently thirty-three Unite For Sight chapters in twenty-four cities across the United States and Canada, engaging more than 600 students and professionals from universities and corporations.

This is a great opportunity for pre-meds to get involved in Columbia’s brand new chapter of Unite for Sight and get some hands on health-related volunteer experience!
