SUMMER 2006 PROJECTS

Costa Rica
Costa Rica team members traveled to Upala, one of the country’s poorest regions, to assist a women’s group in developing a micro-enterprise project.  As a multidisciplinary team, they worked with the women to complete a thorough needs assessment for the project, considering the social and economic environments of the region. With the help of local and international organizations, team members worked both in their individual areas of expertise, and across traditional boundaries, to create a successful, unique program for the women.

Nicaragua
Team members worked similarly on women’s economic empowerment projects.

Never Again
Team members worked as consultants for Never Again International, an organization working with and staffed by students and young professionals that is based in Rwanda. From New York, team members assisted Never Again in its mission to spur ideas and action for peace.  Collaborating with a group of Rwandan university students, the team applied its multidisciplinary skills to a range of development projects in Rwanda.
