Alumnae Mentorship Program

One of Columbia Women's Business Society's annual initiatives is that of the Alumnae Mentorship Program. The program started three years ago when the board of CWBS realized that many students felt the need to have someone they could talk to, ask questions, and get career advice from. Parallel to this, we observed the value and importance of having a mentor in our lives, someone who is more experienced and shares the same interests and doubts we have. Upon putting these two ideas together, we came up with our Alumnae Mentoring Program.

This program gives undergraduates the unique opportunity to be paired with Columbia University alumnae to learn about the business world. The goal of the program is to provide a meaningful platform for career advice, goal setting, and tips for both undergraduate and professional experiences. Although we highly recommend building a strong relationship with your mentor through phone calls and meetings, the time commitment is up to you and your mentor. This program is what you decide to make of it. We would love to get as many of you involved in the program as possible and are currently accepting applications.

Mentor Applications can be found here .The deadline to apply is October 14, 2015 at 11:59 PM.

Mentee Applications can be found here . The deadline to apply is on October 10, 2015 at 11:59 PM.

All Mentor and Mentee matches will be sent out via email on Monday, October 19. The tentative dates for the Alumnae Mentorship Program Kickoff are November 6, 2015 or November 13, 2015.
