Welcome to the Columbia University Dance Team web page. We perform dance routines during the half-time of the home basketball games as well as compete in both regional and national competitions. In 2003, the team placed 16th (Division 1) in NDA's National Collegiate Dance Team Competition held in Daytona Beach, Florida, and placed 1st in NDA's Regional Competition in Albany, NY. In addition to performing at games and competitions, we performed at the 2003 end of the year Celebration for Peace by Peace, a community service program run by Columbia University students which promotes non-violent conflict resolution within local elementary schools. We also opened the kickoff celebration for Columbia's 250th Anniversary this past October. Auditions for the team are held in September.
