An Off Weekend
It was bound to happen sooner or later.For the first time this year the
Columbia Parli teamed failed to break a full team to out-rounds. However,
Carissa Byrne broke with her hybrid partner Peter Stris which brought at
least a partial representation of Columbia in out-rounds to five straight
weeks.

Unfortunately Byrne & Stris were unable to advance beyond the
quarter-finals, losing to Williams A (John Kravis &apm; Adrian Ludwig) on
a 2-1 decision. Byrne & Stris finished the tournament in 5th place
and were undefeated in preliminary rounds.
Byrne also placed 8th in speakers awards.
Our next Parliamentary Debate Endeavor will be our own tournament on
October 31 - November 1. Our next competion will be at Fordham
University on November 8-9.
