DG’s First Annual Anchor Splash

Our first annual Anchor Splash was a complete success! Zeta Theta raised $4512 for Service for Sight after a night of fun and swimming! Brothers from the Columbia chapters of Sigma Nu, Sigma Chi, Sigma Phi Epsilon, Kappa Delta Rho, and Zeta Beta Tau all competed in water activities such as relays, and synchronized swimming routines. A big thanks goes out to Sam Keller for making it all possible!

Delta Gamma would like to congratulate recently graduated DG Sara Snedeker on her interview by Columbia University’s Spectator. In the article, Sara is quoted saying the following about her time as a member of Delta Gamma Zeta Theta:

“I just have a very distinctive memory of joining my first year and, on Bid Day, feeling like this was a great decision,” Snedeker said. “Because I just wasn’t sure if I would like it, and I just remember feeling this enormous sense of welcoming and pride and happiness, and just feeling like, ‘OK, I’m never going to be bored again.’”

“It’s such a great group of women,” she added. “They’re really involved in the Columbia community as a whole, and I think that’s something that characterizes us in general.”

Delta Gamma and TOMS have partnered to bring you an amazing opportunity to buy TOMS eyewear and benefit your chapter and DG’s philanthropy at the same time! The Great Fight for Sight was created especially for Delta Gamma, and will culminate with TOMS announcing alumnae and collegiate winners at Convention 2012 in Indianapolis. This promotion was inspired by Delta Lambda chapter at Mississippi State who showcased TOMS eyewear during their philanthropy round of recruitment. (See the video here.)
