KEEP Resource Centers
The first resource center was established
at the Isecheno Forest Station (see map)
in the year 2000, with funds provided from different sources,
organized by Prof. Marina Cords (Columbia University, New York).
Now, a second center has been established
at Buyangu, in the northern part of the forest, and a third one
is planned at Kibiri, near the southern edge of the forest.

The activities
around these centers are similar, and center around the education
of school children on Saturdays, but also include lessons held
at the local schools and nature walks in the forest. In Isecheno,
however, the resource center has evolved to a gathering point
and is extensively used by the local community as such.
