落語（らくご） あらすじ (Synopses)

1．ビョンジン・カン (Byung Jin Kang)「夢(ゆめ)たまご」“Yume Tamago”
"Yume Tamago" is a rakugo story about simple minded Yotarou who tries eating a "dream egg" for the first time. The vendor tells him that once you eat a dream egg, you will get to see the dream contained within. Though skeptical at first, he does try it and sees a dream in which he himself becomes the vendor selling dream eggs! He meets his son who is about to go to the next town for a festival, and the wife who pours him a drink. Eventually, it is time to go to sleep, and what will Yotarou do?

2．シャオウェイ・ワン (Shaowei Wang)「厩(うまや)火事(かじ)」“Umaya Kaji”
In the Edo era, there was a young woman named Osaki. She worked hard as a hairdresser (kamiyui) to support the family, while her husband, seeking only personal pleasure and leading an indolent life, was not engaged in any kind of work. One day, for some trivial matters, the young couple broke out into a fight again. Looking for advice, Osaki went to her brother, who told her two allegorical stories -- one about how Confucius showed more concern for his servants than his precious horse after a stable fire, and the other about how Lord So-and-So cared more about his pottery dish than his wife in an accident, who thus left him. Osaki's brother suggested Osaki break an expensive pottery dish, which her husband treasured, to test if he truly loved her. Wondering how her husband would react, Osaki returned home but discovered something unexpected.

3．ケイトリン・カシエロ (Caitlin Casiello)「あくび指南(しなん)」“Akubi Shinan”

One day, a man decides he wants to go to a teacher to learn how to yawn properly. His friend says this is ridiculous, but agrees to go along for moral support, insisting that he won't learn any yawning. When they get to the teacher, our hero can't even master the most basic of yawns. Meanwhile, his friend sits there getting more and more bored…
