One
prominent observation of participants in the Field
Traumatology
course was the extensive amount of
information/material
covered in such a brief period
of
time. This eight-hour course will revisit that material
in
order to focus on its experiential application in real
life
settings, from a perspective six months later.
Attention
will be given to "traumatic grief" and "ambiguous loss"
as
components central to human-caused disasters. Workshop will
feature
both small and large group activities to facilitate
participants'
skillful utilization of FT concepts and
interventions.
*Prerequisite:
Traumatology
1001 course at Columbia University in March, 2002.
