Missionaries of Charity Soup KitchenFridays, 8am, Gates at 116th and AmsterdamEvery Friday morning at 8am a group of Columbia Catholic Undergrads meets at the gates at 116th and Amsterdam to head up to the St. Joseph's Convent in Harlem. We volunteer in their soup kitchen with members of the religious community founded by Mother Teresa until around 11am. Volunteers are welcome to join the sisters to help at the soup kitchen any weekday except Thursday, from 8:00 am to 11:00 am. Contact Daniel for more information. Missionaries of Charity After-School TutoringEvery weekday but Thursday, 4pm-6pmWe also help the Sisters tutor elementary school children from the neighborhood after school (usually from 4pm until 6pm) on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Eucharistic Handmaids of Notre DameEvery other Thursday, 8:30pm, Sanctuary, Church of Notre DameWomen of the Eucharistic Handmaids assist the parish by working on a church beautification task, provided by our pastor, while listening to Church teaching and tradition on the nature and expression of femininity. We meet in the sanctuary of the Church of Notre Dame from 8:30-9:30pm. For more information, contact Meghan. Mornings of ServiceCCM performs several ministry-wide Mornings of Service during the semester with area Catholic service organizations.
