Community Impact

Founded in 1987, Community Impact is a non-profit organization that provides food, clothing, shelter, education, job training, and companionship for residents in the surrounding Harlem, Washington Heights, and Morningside Heights communities. A dedicated corps of faculty, staff, and more than 950 Columbia University student volunteers participate in 25 different community service programs that serve over 16,000 people each year. Community Impact also partners with 100 community organizations.
