is the chapel right for you?

The chapel serves all faiths and denominations and is open to everyone
St. Paul's Chapel can be used for interfaith weddings, as well as for ceremonies of any denomination. No affiliation with the University or St. Paul's Chapel is required for use of the Chapel.

Seating capacity
The seating capacity of the main floor of the nave is approximately 400 people. For larger weddings, the balconies can also be used, expanding the capacity to 450. For smaller weddings, the ceremony may also be held in the chancel in front of the high altar; the seating capacity in the choir area is 60.

Time required
Generally, one hour is enough time for an average wedding. However, since weddings are often booked consecutively, if you are planning a mass, a large ceremony, or a generally long service, you may want to consider additional time in the nave.
Setup by your florist, arrival and departure of guests, the ceremony itself, and any photography before or after the wedding must occur in the 2 hours for which you have reserved the chapel.

Arrival time
The bridal party may arrive at the start of the reservation time and will be assigned to the Bridal Room in the chapel in order to make final preparations.

Rehearsal time
The rehearsal, if you would like to have one, should be conducted by your officiant. To assure the availability of the Chapel, reserve your rehearsal date and time when you make your wedding reservation.

Restrictions
There can be no pinning, taping, stapling, or otherwise affixing decorations, signs, etc. to the walls, doors, floors, or woodwork anywhere in Earl Hall or St. Paul's Chapel. Balloons are not permitted anywhere inside St. Paul's Chapel. No runners are permitted inside or outside of the chapel. Throwing of any objects, i.e., rice, rose petals, bubbles, confetti, etc., is NOT permitted inside or outside of St. Paul's Chapel or Earl Hall Center. No pets are allowed inside the Chapel. Furthermore, the chairs in the nave may NOT be rearranged. Violations of any of these restrictions shall constitute grounds for forfeiture of the applicant's deposit. The chapel is rented as-is; the chapel will not be customized for the applicant.
