Introduction
The Program for Economic Research was formed in 2003 to support the research environment for economists at Columbia University, and it serves in four main capacities:
- coordination and management of external research grants
- management of a visiting researcher program to broaden intellectual scope
- internal funding support for early-stage research
- enhancement of research environment for faculty and graduate students
The activities of the program will continue to foster a lively and productive environment for Columbia faculty and their colleagues.
