Last May I asked our graduating seniors to help the department respond to one of the most frequently asked questions of an undergraduate economics major - “what can I do after college if I major in economics?” Attached to this page is a list of the answers that I received. As you will see from the list, some students have offered to give advice to undergraduates that may be thinking of pursuing a career similar to their own. If a student's email is included, then that student gave specific permission to include the email in the listing.

If you graduated in May of 2004 and you are not included in this list, then please feel free to contact the department at undergrad-econ@columbia.edu. If you are included in this list and you would like us to change your listing (e.g. adding or deleting an email address), then you should contact us at the same address undergrad-econ@columbia.edu. We will periodically update this file to include any new information that we receive.

I also made one more request of our graduating seniors. You have probably noticed this past year that the department sends out emails to our students advertising job and internship opportunities. Many of these advertisements come from alumni of the department. In the coming years, as you learn about opportunities at your firms or organizations we would appreciate if you would allow us to advertise those opportunities to our undergraduates.
