"Columbia Bike Share provides Columbia students with everything they need to bike throughout New York city. Wear your helmets!"

Currently, six working bikes are provided for all Columbia students as a healthy, free, and environmentally friendly transportation alternative. Please sign up for the Bike Share program here. Bikes are available for check-out from the Hartley Hospitality Desk from 8 AM to 7 PM. You must attend a training session and sign the waiver to be eligible for Bike Share.

Meet the Bike Share Committee Head!

Grayson Warrick

Grayson is a junior in Columbia College studying Middle Eastern, South Asian and African Studies (MESAAS) and Economics (though his spirit major is Sustainable Development). Despite having grown up in Manhattan with all kinds of public transportation, he has grown to love biking and all the green spaces the city has to offer. Outside of EcoReps, Grayson is the Academic Affairs Representative for the Columbia College Studies Council and a liaison to the Activities Board at Columbia. In his free time, he likes watching films and messing around with his camera.

Check your bike!

Before you check out a bike always make sure that the tires aren't flat and the chains are functioning properly.

Scenic Riding

There are plenty of biking paths across the city. Most notably, the Greenway beyond Riverside Park is a great option for scenic riding!

In the Street

Of course, the streets of New York are also yours to ride. Just remember to bike with caution and safety in mind!
