The same material can be submitted for more than one prize.
From the list below, indicate the prize for which you would like this submission to be considered.
Check only one prize. Only one submission per person for each prize.


For any Columbia University degree student (undergraduate & graduate):

____  Bunner Award — for an essay dealing with American literature 

____  Van Rensselaer Prize — 1 to 3 poems, totaling not more than 10 pages


For CC and GS undergraduates:
 
____  Academy of American Poets Prize — 1 to 5 poems, totaling not more than 10 pages  

____  John Vincent Hickey Prize — for an essay on English, Irish or American poetry



For CC undergraduates:
 
____  Brick Memorial Prize for Playwriting — for a one-act or full-length play  

____  Ford Poetry Prize — 1 to 5 poems, totaling not more than 10 pages

____  Philolexian Prize — for fiction, essays, memoirs, poetry, plays, film scripts, or literary translation (submission may include work in any one or more of these genres, but is limited to one work in each genre, except poetry, where the limit is 5 poems; prose submissions should not exceed 35 pp.)


For CC SENIORS only:
   
____ Barratt-Brown Prize — for critical writing in any scholarly field (submission limit: one essay of not more than 35 pp.) 

The BROWNSTEIN PRIZE, awarded to a graduating CC senior for prose fiction or playwriting, carries separate instructions, requires a different coversheet (details are at www.columbia.edu\cu\english\ug_brownstein.htm).
