Recycling: Baker Field Athletic Complex
This website explains how the recycling program at the Baker Field
Athletic Center works: what materials are recyclable, how and where to
recycle them, and what happens after they leave your sight.
Columbia
University’s Baker Field complies with all New York City, state and
federal regulations. Baker Field Facilities oversees the recycling
program at the Baker Field Athletic Center.
The recycling
program depends on your participation. Protect your environment by
participating correctly.
Paper and Cardboard
Baker Field Athletic Center complies with New York City’s recycling
program. The program requires separating recyclables, including all
types of paper and cardboard.
Paper and cardboard can be discarded together into any receptacles
designated for paper. Place any type of paper in any central blue bin,
or in the bin next to your desk. If you have a large quantity of
cardboard, call the Facilities Department (212-567-0404) to set up a
removal. If you think an area is missing a bin or could use an extra
one, call the Facilities Department (212-567-0404) to request one.
The custodial staff collects the paper and cardboard nightly and brings
it to a central location where it is removed weekly by the New York
City Department of Sanitation.
