Day-to-day upkeep of the building and grounds translates to the University’s continually seeking out the most environmentally compatible equipment, materials and techniques. Since 2000, the University has used “green” cleaning products, and in 2005 a new pest control policy was established. The results are many, and include noise and dust reduction and ergonomic quality because of new vacuum cleaners, paper conservation because of toilet paper and towels made from recycled materials, and staff training in the use of cleaning and pest control products.
