Engineers, E-Weeks has finally arrived! This is the 8th annual E-Weeks which is a celebration of being an Engineer. There will be a host of crazy events. To RSVP for any event, click on the corresponding links by the descriptions: Monday, February 9th - Opening Dinner Reception in Roone Arledge at 5PM. Free food and some very cool speakers including Dean Galil. All are welcome. Monday, February 9th - Assassins officially begins at 9PM. 40 teams of 4 people will compete for a cash prize of $400. There will also be a secondary prize of $100 awarded to the person with the most kills. For the rules, visit [Rules] Tuesday, February 10th - Senior Panel at 5PM in Carleton Lounge: Open panel discussion with upperclassmen from SEAS on the topic of summer opportunities Friday, February 13th - Carnival in Roone Arledge at 5PM. This will involve live performances from multiple arts groups, free food from the culture clubs of our campus, and some very cool games. The first 200 people will get raffle tickets from which we will pick 5 winners for some very amazing prizes. Also, there will be a Mario Kart Tournament!! This will be limited to the first 64 people to register during the event. Winner will get an undisclosed prize. Friday, February 13th - Mr. and Ms. Engineer Pageant in Roone Arledge at 7PM. This is a competition for 10 girls and 10 guys to see who gets crowned Mr. and Ms. Engineer. To participate, there is a nomination process. The people with the most nominations will be approached and asked to participate. Each person will be required to do 4 events: Engineering Trivia, Costume Walk, Talent, and Interview. There will be 2 preliminary eliminations, leading to a 1-on-1 showdown for each title. Voting has now ended! Thursday, February 19th - E-Weeks party at the West End. Sponsored by the Junior and Senior classes, there will be an open bar from 11pm-2am which includes free mixed drinks, domestic draft beer, and free games of beruit. Expect cost to be $15 per person. Friday, February 20th - End of Assassins. All scores will be tallied and the winners will be contacted by the administrative board. Winners will be announced to the rest of the campus during Movie Night. Friday, February 20th - Movie Night in Davis Auditorium. We will be showing Spaceballs and providing free pizza, soda, snacks, etc before the movie. Also, this will be when the winners of Assassins are announced.
